How to not be so critical (of yourself too) + an incredible story!!

This has been an interesting week!

Or maybe more like an interesting 36 hours.

And a mind-blowing last two hours.

I’m sitting here in my favourite cafe and have had a smile across my face ever since last night’s Art of Desires session. Ah the women! You are simply exceptional and even if I have never met you personally I am sure you are too because…

I attract so many amazing people and experiences.

There will be days when you get frustrated and think nothing is happening.

And then there will be days like this.

Stick with it!!

As I shared last night, my desire is to expand and make Healthy + Powerfully Feminine into an online program to be accessed from anywhere in the world!

I shared many more of my desires as did the other women.

Like writing another book, this time about something that happened last year.

And so today as I arrived at the cafe there was a lovely bright-eyed woman waving at me through the window. I’d met her a little while ago and as I’d spoken about what I do, she’d since looked me up online.

Well, today I found out she has a show on National Geographic, a book in the works with Ellen Degeneres’s producer and an awesome publisher (and gave me her details as she’s looking for the type of books I want to write) and wants to run some workshops and programs together that’s going to be fun, transformational and pretty damn wild too.

I wish I could tell you more!!

You know I’m quite open about my thoughts and my life but that’s all I can say for now.

The reason I’m telling you this is because this manifesting stuff really works!!

It’s powerful.

Expansion?

It feels like every box got ticked.

First, via someone who followed me on Instagram that I need to learn from.

Then via the women at the Desires session and the encounters at the cafe.

(There was another one too that I shared on Instagram)

The way this incredible lady got Ellen’s producer… and turned down George Clooney’s (I swear this woman is completely genuine)… was that after 6 months of writing book proposal emails she got on a plane and went to L.A., giving herself 90 days to get her publisher. But once you get in with one, you’ve got them all clamoring for you so…

The rest is the future.

She chose to believe.

She silenced that inner critic.

And you can do!!

It takes affirmations, yes, but it also takes more than that.

It takes working with the subconscious mind too.

So what about the subconscious mind?

The subconscious mind controls 90% of what you do and think so if you are trying to change your body, your life or your abundance you have to change this most importantly.

So you may want to find love or lose weight or create your dream career but there’s something keeping you stuck. Do you ever feel that?

It’s most likely those beliefs that you aren’t even conscious of.

But once you can get your mind to the Theta or Alpha states, it is possible to work with the subconscious mind to heal and release and transform those beliefs. 

This is something I do with my private clients and definitely will be doing at next week’s Power of the Mind session.

I’m sure you are someone with incredible talents too. Those who doubt most are often the most talented.

Perhaps you feel that inner critic poke her head up when you see others who are less talented making it.

Maybe that nasty girl goes on at you all day long, sending the punches inwards!

Are you too hard on yourself?

If so, it’s keeping you from your desires and the life you were born to live!

So How Can You Not Be So Critical?

Recognize the Inner Critic

The inner critic is part of your ego mind and it’s job is to keep you safe by keeping you in the known. It is the voice of all those authority figures that told you to ‘not to stand too close’ and wanted to keep you safe or when you felt emotions like shame. Necessary sometimes, but not always.
So how do we turn it down? Simply by recognizing it you can give it less power. My new friend says ‘Shut up reptile!’ (because it’s the reptilian brain responsible for this, the fight or flight… and she works with animals!). I will say ‘Oh hey ego!’ when I recognize it or I’ll change my thoughts or the story to what I desire to believe.

Just because you have a thought doesn’t mean it’s anything more than neurological programming.

Practice Presence

There is also the chatterbox with her list of 1001 things you should be doing, pinging around at every moment, making you stressed and keeping you from real divine connection and your infinite expansive mind. The chatterbox is also part of the ego mind.

For the chatterbox you can give her something good to chatter about – that’s what these affirmations are all about. And you can, of course, practice presence. Whether it’s a walk in nature or around the block, bringing your full attention to your kids or the dishes or enjoying a sensual bath, be right there in the moment and there won’t be as much space for the mind to wander.

Celebrate Others

Even if you are scrolling through Facebook thinking ‘Do you all have to advertise your love so much?!’ catch yourself and send support with a like or comment. It wouldn’t irritate you if you didn’t desire it – so if it’s success you desire, show your support for others’ success, love for love … reprogram your brain to celebrate.

I celebrate success. I am success.
I celebrate love. I am love.

Celebrate Yourself

At the end of the day write down 5 things you did well. This is such a challenge for many women!! Always thinking they aren’t doing enough and aren’t good enough. But you can absolutely change the way you feel about yourself by focusing on your good… and celebrating.

Everything is working out perfectly.

Surround yourself with Positive People

You really are affected by those you surround yourself with. You need to be able to share your dreams with those who will support you and see the best in you, perhaps even much more than you see.

Choose Gratitude

Be grateful ALL. DAY. LONG.

Be grateful for every experience you have and watch your life shift.

Gratitude is the emotion with the highest vibration.

No complaining!

Express of course! But in an empowered way.

You can say ‘at least…’ and turn most if not all negatives into a positive.

I see the biggest difference in the results my clients receive when they practice this.
