Do you know this feeling? Sitting at your computer for hours trying to get something to work…. fixated and obsessed. Perhaps feeling like, “Oh but look how great she is… you should be more like her…or her… or her.”
Do you ever do that?
No, me neither! 🙂
Except that’s how I was last Friday when my creativity wasn’t flowing and I was trying to write this post.
Although I don’t wait for the Muse to start, she has to show up at some point to breathe life into the work.
Otherwise it’s all grunt and push with no juice.
And I want juicy.
We want it to be easier, right?
We want to manifest our desires (achieve our goals if you like) in a way that we’re not pushing so hard and burning out, but containing and replenishing our energy while we attract and create intuitively.
We desire success…
But through being our authentic selves.
We want to be paid for being who we are.
I’ve been thinking about success because the TED talk of Paula Constant, my friend and kundalini teacher, someone who I had the pleasure of coaching last year, came out on Youtube.
Her talk is called, ‘What is Success?’.
This is a woman who walked from London to Niger, across the Sahara with a camel and a guide, got herself out of many difficult situations along the way, managed to get the walk sponsored by Birkenstock, then wrote 2 books and had them published, spoke at writer’s festivals around the world and became a highly-paid speaker… and then set up Sowilo Soul Centre as a place for people to come and ‘love themselves well’.
So what is success?
In the Feminine Way there are many roads to success.
This is why I didn’t call this Museletter ‘The 7 Steps’ because that sounds linear and fixed and the feminine is circular, fluid and ever-changing.
So how do we create success in the feminine way?
To attract success we have to (allow me to be woo woo for a moment) vibrate at the frequency of success.
When we feel successful, we attract more success and we have the drive to create it.
To be successful we have to feel it.
So these 7 Roads to Success in the Feminine Way are not only ways to create success but also how to feel successful…
Do you see your progress?
Do you allow yourself to?
Do you celebrate it?
Whether it be that you handled a situation differently, that you let go of your need to control or be right or make them understand when dealing with someone who usually pushes your buttons, or you start to build momentum in your business, or take steps to do something your passionate about or recognize your need to get more support… all this is progress.
Seeing I’ve learned and handled a situation differently makes me super super happy and I love being able to help clients see how they’ve evolved too.
That’s success to me.
2. Inspired and Consistent Action
The Feminine Way though is to go within before going out into the world.
And when it’s not flowing it’s time to step away and go do something else… like moving your body in nature or taking a nap.
(It’s one thing to know this and another to actually do it)
But then come back and try again.
So much of success comes from being persistent and consistent.
The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried!
Often I help my clients with prioritising what is actually important and what are the ‘shoulds’.
Once you are clear on what’s important and are not spreading your energy too thinly, you can show up and continue on your journey of 1000 steps.
With energy and consistent action, you will feel like you are really getting somewhere too.
A road winds and when following one, you may decide to take a detour if you think you’ve found a better way or if that road is too long and getting you nowhere.
Did you know that when a plane sets out for a destination, it course corrects 90% of the time?
So it is with life and business.
If something isn’t working, you can either persist or change course.
“When you force solutions on problems, you only create new problems. But when you put your attention on the uncertainty, and you witness the uncertainty while you expectantly wait for the solution to emerge from the chaos and the confusion, then what emerges is something very fabulous and exciting.”
– Deepak Chopra
This week I asked “How can it be easy?” and I received an answer almost immediately.
Healthy + Powerfully Feminine Weekly Sessions
So I decided to open my in-person course up to those who would like to come to individual sessions. It’s on every Wednesday for 8 weeks in Fremantle.
This feels good and it means I can connect with more women in my community.
Changing course after tuning in and receiving guidance…
A solution that emerged and freed up my energy…
This is success to me!
We all love a ticked list, right?
That feeling of accomplishment is golden!
When we do what we say we’ll do, we love ourselves more – except when it’s at the expense of pushing too hard and feeling spent.
The art of success is a fine dance between making it work, letting it happen and letting go!
When we commit to something we set off a whole chain of events that we may not even be aware of.
Commit to doing what you said you would do by only saying yes to things that you are really committed to and can manage.
Commitment creates success.
5. Enjoying Life!
The feminine is about the pleasure and I always find a way to help myself and my clients find a way to enjoy their work and the changes they are implementing.
In any case, life is what’s happening now.
Life is an art.
Your life is your art – from how you drink your coffee, to how you dress, how you write your shopping list and how you feel and show up – all of this is your unique expression. All of this is your art.
Without managing our energy, it’s difficult to manifest and create what we desire.
Creative Expansive Me Time
Are you getting enough of this?
I often find that women will join my workshops when I am out playing, not while actually doing the work.
Joy and Freedom are two of the emotions with the highest frequency, so it makes sense, right?
And joy and freedom feels like success to me.
There are days when I’m just working with my head down and then there are days like Thursday when so many of my questions and desires come together in one phone call.
This is a really cool story that I will share with you soon!
It involves a road-trip to the exact place I had tuned in and felt inspired to visit just 2 days prior and some other exciting opportunities.
Being able to surrender and be in the flow of life makes me feel and is necessary for my success.
7. Helping Others Heal
It makes me really happy to hear about your progress – whether it’s the house you manifested or the high road you chose to take or the new way you have expressed yourself, the boundaries you’ve kept, the patterns of behaviour you’ve released or the energy and joy you feel – all this makes me feel like a success.
When things feel hard, I get back into my power by reminding myself of my purpose – to love and spread love.
If I’m doing that, then I’m a success.
In coaching, I use an intuitive method of releasing blocks and childhood conditioning that has been incredibly powerful.
Using this, I’ve helped women to release age-old guilt and debilitating jealousy and to transform relationships to money, food and love… in order to actually create what they desire and not feel like a huge failure, ashamed and fighting against their DNA.
Ever had that feeling?
This week I had some really really beautiful sessions with clients that I am truly grateful for and I received this message on Friday :
“Didn’t expect it to work this well!! Situations which usually bother me…Nothing. It doesn’t seem like an issue AT ALL!! Wow!!!”
This was after only one session 🙂
Well, that made me feel successful!
And that’s success to me!
Your happiness is important.
It’s helping to change the face of the world.
Imagine if more women in the world were empowered!
It starts with you.
